What ever happened to that great American concept, “government of the people, by the people, for the people?”
Effective representative democracy requires active citizen participation.
Like you, I am not a professional politician – and I don’t plan to become one. As a fellow citizen, I am asking you to please consider voting for me November 6, to serve on your behalf in the Minnesota House of Representatives.
Minnesota is faced with multiple unresolved challenges. Instead of making tough decisions, entrenched career politicians, focused on reelection, consistently “kick the can down the road.”
Consequently, our state government has grown increasingly inefficient, intrusive and unaffordable. People from all walks of life are uncertain about their financial security. Whether working to earn a living, looking for a good job, or running a small business, people are frustrated – seniors, students and even our veterans are left shaking their heads.
Personally, I steadfastly believe it doesn’t need to be this way. We must do better…much better. Positive results are attainable.
With your support and guidance I will work tirelessly to provide strong, capable citizen representation to serve you in our Minnesota Legislature.
Your input is invaluable to me! Please take a moment to complete the current issues survey as part of a series that will be posted on this web site. It is my hope this is just the beginning of an ongoing dialogue with you regarding how we work together to strengthen Minnesota’s future. Please check back as often as you’d like for new sets of survey questions!
